You landed here for a reason. No matter how you got here, thank you for joining us!

Our quest here at Kricket’s Korner is to help you become everything that God created you to be. That includes walking in perfect health, physically, spiritually and creatively. Essential Oils can help you do that!

Do you realize that the average woman applies over 300 chemicals to their body every single day, and 80 of those are before breakfast? Most of these chemicals come from soap, shampoo, make up, and hair care. The biggest pollutants in our homes are fabric softeners, dryer sheets, air fresheners, plug ins, and candles. We are literally poisoning our families everyday with chemicals found in our cleaning supplies and in our food!

With that said there are a few things that I wanted to advise you of before we get started.

Although I am not an expert on essential oils I have spent some time studying and know enough to know that not all essential oils are made equally. Unfortunately the U.S. has only one regulation for essential oils to be labeled pure, and that is they only have to have 5% pure essential oil in them. No matter which oils you choose to use, my best advice in using them would be to make sure that the plants that are used are grown organically, hand weeded, farmed, tested and sealed without shipping out to other facilities before they are shipped to you. Previously farmed land, pesticides, chemicals and additives to dilute, and chemicals used in the facilities, can all have an effect on the quality and benefits of the oil.

There are 4 grades of oils:

Grade A oils are 100% pure oils grown organically and cold-distilled.

Grade B oils are food grade, but may contain synthetics, pesticides, fertilizers, chemical extenders or carrier oils.

Grade C oils are perfume oils that that often contain adulterating chemicals. These usually contain solvents, for example hexane, to gain a higher yield of oil per harvest. Solvents can be cancerous and are in many store-bought oils. They may also be diluted 80-95 percent with alcohol.

Grade D is called “floral water” which is aromatic only and is usually a byproduct of grade A distillation. After all the oil is pulled out, the leftover “trash water” is sold to companies that fill five percent of the bottle with this “leftover trash water,” fill the rest with carriers, and label it “pure.”

There are three different schools of thought on how to use these wonderful oils. The English apply the topically, The French ingest them and cook with them. The German diffuse them. With the grade A essential oils at Young Living you can do all three.
