I ordered some grapefruit oil on my last order. I really ordered it to use for cleaning and to freshen the air in my home. Out of curiosity I googled it to see if I could find all the benefits. WOW. What a huge surprise! I LOVE what I found in Dr. Axe’s article!
Check it out…
- Disinfecting surfaces
- Cleansing the body
- Reducing depression
- Simulating the immune system
- Curbs sugar cravings
- And helps with weight loss!
That is all on it’s own! I was so impressed! Then I read a little further and discovered that if you add a drop of Patchouli essential oil, it also acts as a very healthy appetite suppressant!
- Fight depression
- Boost the immune system
- Use as a natural deodorant
- Stop fungal growth
- Reduce inflammation
- Enhance mood
- Strengthen hair
- Fights infections
- Clears dandruff
- Treats Skin Conditions
- Works as a bug repellent
- Stimulates hormones
- Fights fever
Pinch me…is this for real?
So I tried it this afternoon because I just so happened to have gotten a bottle of Patchouli as a freebie in this months Essential Rewards order (yes I get a LOT of freebies, ask me how) and guess what? IT WORKS!
I’m usually an evening snacker. I eat at the end of the day when I am tired. I normally eat a very healthy diet all day long, but I just stop caring in the evenings.
I used to take an appetite suppressant and it helped a lot. I did not like the way it made me feel and I later found out that it was very dangerous to use.
But today I used 3 drops of grapefruit essential oil and 1 drop of Patchouli essential oil in my Pomegranate juice. (I only recommend Young Living brand because it is absolutely the safest available) I am amazed at the results!
I do need to let you know that Young Living recommend Patchouli for external use only. It is pure therapeutic grade and as I stated, the only essential oils that I trust. Dr. Axe’s article suggests that it is safe to use internally. Use your own discretion and you might want to check with your doctor before trying this or any other diet program.

So what is the cost of this amazing recipe for an appetite suppressant you ask???
Well the current retail price of a 15 ml bottle Patchouli is $44.41 or if you decided to become a wholesale member the wholesale price would be $33.75 (this price is on 6/19/2017 and is subject to change at any time). There are about 270 drops of oil in a 15 mil bottle, so this would last about 9 months if you only used 1 drop per day.
Grapefruit Vitality Essential Oil 5 ml runs $9.87 retail currently and $7.50 wholesale (this price is on 6/19/2017 and is subject to change at any time). There are about 90 drops of oil in a 5 ml bottle. If you use the 3 drops per day as I suggested, you would go through 1 bottle per month.
So final cost analysis for a 9 month supply would run you $88.83 for the grapefruit oil and $44.41 for the Patchouli oil, totaling $133.24.
Where else can you find a healthy appetite suppressant that has all of these other health benefits for that cost? I’m just saying…
