Are You Believing A Lie?

Are you believing a lie?

When you get to a place that you love Jesus with all your heart, you will discover that you will hate sin with all your heart. You will no longer have a tolerance for it. It will have to leave your life. When it does, many of the people who honor sin and not God will go with it. It is a painful yet wonderfully freeing experience.

1John 1:5-7 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

I often hear from people, that God loves everybody. YES HE DOES! That is NOT the problem. The question is whether or not you love him back enough to obey the guidelines he gave us to live by as any loving father would. If you don’t than yes there are consequences for that.  He can’t protect you if you don’t obey these guidelines. That is completely your choice and you’re doing. He loved you enough to warn you.

My suggestion is to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This doesn’t mean seek to speak in tongues although this is one of many manifestations of the Holy Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit only happens when there is a deep desire to please God. You will know when you have received it. When you do receive it, things will become much clearer than ever before You will begin to be able to discern the difference between a lie and the truth. You will be able to sense God’s presence in and out of a Corporate environment. Most of all sin will become so extremely uncomfortable to you that you will never want to do anything sinful again. If this is not happening with you than more than likely you have not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and if I were you I would start pressing in and seeking Him and asking for it until these things are in place.

As you spend more and more time in prayer seeking a relationship with Jesus you will fall more and more in love with Him. You will find that you will desire to only be obedient to Jesus and His Holy Spirit’s direction and when you are obedient to God in every area of your life then sin no longer has a place in you life. You can’t be obedient to God and to sin at the same time and you will become a slave to whomever you choose to obey.

1Jo 1:6-10
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Some take these verses so out of context to excuse their sin. For example The last part here is “famous” for making excuses to sin. “if we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” Many have used this verse to hurt me and when I ask them to stop they use this as an excuse to continue. They tell me we all sin. Then I walk away. It’s not okay to treat people like that. It’s not okay not to feel remorse when you hurt someone. It’s not okay to walk away without apologizing. To do those things only shows your evil intent and I want nothing to do with that. God’s word requires us to make recompense. This means if you lied to someone you are required to go back and tell them the truth to be set free from its effects, and to set those you lied about free from the effects of those lies . If you stole from someone you are required to repay. This is NOT a sign of weakness as the world would have you believe.  You won’t be able to reach your true God-given purpose until you do this.

Matt 5:23-24 “Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, “leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

I’ve sinned more than most everybody I know. But, I stopped sinning. I’m not without sin. I was born into it and lived in it for many years. BUT I STOPPED. I don’t let it control my life anymore. I let Jesus do that through His Holy Spirit.

The other thing that is taught is that it is okay to continue to sin because He supplied us with His grace to cover up our sin. His grace does NOT cover up our sin. It empowers us to stop sinning!

God does not forgive excuses. I see so many Christians walking around and justifying their sin by saying things like ” I was afraid” and their church says “well okay then”. Or “they hurt me” and again the church says “well okay then” or “I don’t like what they stand for” and the church says “well okay then”. ATTENTION EVERYBODY it doesn’t matter how many people you can get to agree with your sin! I matters that God sees your heart and won’t forgive your excuses! He told you not to fear 365 times. He told you not to all those things that you are using as an excuse to sin the first time. Excusing yourself like this just adds to the list of sins. STOP IT! Before it’s to late. Repent (change your mind) about how you are thinking about sin and cleanse yourself from it. Going to church every Sunday does not make you the Bride of Christ regardless of what the Pastor told you. Cleansing yourself from sin and making yourself a pure spotless Bride does.

So the teaching that it’s okay to sin because Jesus died for our sins and we all sin and His grace covers our sin is a lie. Yes he died for our sins to be forgiven, but he himself told people to go and sin no more. And be Holy as I am Holy. His death was to CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

I’m telling you from my own experience. These things here set me free from bondage! He gave us guidelines to reach our fullest potential and to become who He created us to be. I want to help get you there. I hope this helps to do just that.

If you are walking in sin and calling yourself a Christian than you missed the point and His blood is powerless in you life. If I’m wrong I have nothing to lose. If you are wrong, you have everything to lose. This is an urgent time to get right with God. Don’t blow it by believing a lie.
