God wants us to succeed. He wants us to have nice things, but He wants to provide those things for us. We can not receive the many blessings that He has in store for us if we refuse to obey His rules. We have to follow His rules to be blessed, just like our kids get rewards when they do the right thing.
Many are deceived by the preachers who teach poverty and some even who teach prosperity. The fact of the matter is God wants us to prosper and be in good health. It’s in whether you choose to live by His rule of seed-time and harvest or choose to worship the spirit of Mammon (self-centered greed) and obsess on getting and having more that matters to him. The truth is whether or not you choose to follow His rule of seed time and harvest doesn’t change the law and the fact that the law of seed time and harvest is real.
For example, we can choose to not believe in gravity, but if we jumped off of a building the law of gravity would still apply much to our dismay. Just because we don’t believe it doesn’t change the truth.
The truth is, that every seed we plant comes back to us. So why would we treat others badly? Those who know that this law is the truth, don’t usually have a problem with treating others as though they were better than themselves and putting on a servants hat. Also, why would a farmer eat all of his seed instead of planting most of it? I mean, that is what will feed him tomorrow right? It is impossible to grow anything without first planting a seed. Even if what you are planting stinks, it will grow.
Self centered people eat all of the fruit and leave nothing for anyone else. They eat all of the seed. They refuse to release any into the lives of others to obtain a harvest and they hoard everything for themselves. They are eventually left with famine.
Those who do give a little, get a little back. Those who fully understand this principle however, always put others first and make sure that other’s needs are met before their own and their reward is bounty! Those who realize that you have to plant seed into the lives of others to bring about a harvest in their own life, have no problem giving their money or clothing or whatever is needed to those in need. They know that their need will be supplied and God will bring many more riches to them (both ones that money can buy those that money can not buy). This is not just a principle that relates to money, but it is a principle that is true in every area in our lives. The bottom line is what we give is multiplied and given back to us. Including in how we treat others.
So plant some seeds. Lot’s and lot’s of them. Good seeds to get a beautiful harvest!
