I’m not crazy about coconut, neither is my husband. This is not good because apparently coconut is some kind of super food.
Well for the past few years as I’ve been having to change my diet because of getting older and needing to stay away from the doctor’s office. So, I’ve decided to implement coconut into my diet here and there.
I started off by using coconut oil instead of vegetable oil to do my baking. Both of us learned to like that very quickly. I use it to make gluten-free waffles and it gives the waffles a wonderful crispness. So that is working for us.
Now step 2 of the process. I purchased these 3 coconut amino flavorings to try. I found them in the Negative Calorie Diet Cookbook by Rocco DiSpirito.
I made some stir fry and used the teriyaki sauce and a little of the seasoning sauce. I have to say it was absolutely delicious!
Best thing about the coconut aminos is the sodium content is only 90mg! This is great because hubby has to watch that with blood pressure issues.
He seemed to be very impressed with these new-found food treasures as well!
